The
origins of the group dates back to 1906 when the first Shriro
company started dealing mainly in the leather trade in the province
of Manchuria. The first overseas office was opened in 1917 in
the Japanese city of Yokohama. After the Second World War, our
business developed in line with the political and economical
changes that swept through the Far East.
As a result, we now have subsidiary companies operating in Japan,
Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore and Malaysia. Outside of
Asia, we are also present in Australia and New Zealand. |

| Shriro
is a privately owned business under the direction of one family
for over 90 unbroken years. We stress mutuality of interest
with our principlals, our customers and our employees, working
in partnership with each of them to achieve satisfactory long-term
growth. We believe trust is an important management tool, with
considerable responsibility being delegated to each business
territory and unit. Although we may be better known for the
brands we represent, there are few other companies that know
the Asia Pacific region as well as the Shriro group. |
