The
history of Lindt & Sprüngli began in 1845 when the
Sprüngli father and son manufactured, for the first time,
solid chocolates in their small confectionary. In 1899, the
company acquired the manufacturing secrets of the famous brand
from Rodolphe Lindt. Thanks to the revolutionary "conche" process
he had invented in 1879, the first melting chocolate in the world
was created. Since then, generations of Swiss Maitre Chocolatiers
have dedicated their art and expertise to manufacturing the
finest chocolate products for Lindt & Sprüngli.
